Baltimore Hostel Open House
Photographs of Ireland by Denny Lynch
First Thursday, October 6, 2005, 6-8 p.m.
Celebrate Irish history and culture by coming to see Denny Lynch's hauntingly
beautiful photographs of Ireland at the Baltimore Hostel. Denny has spent over a decade photographing some of the beautiful people, buildings and landscapes of Ireland. Since 1985, this Baltimore resident has exhibited his work in venues ranging from the Irish Arts Center in Manhattan to the Scartaglin Cultural and Heritage Center in County Kerry.
"When I return to Ireland I feel like a pilgrim on a spiritual
journey. While connecting with my past I am also discovering who I really am." Equipped with his camera, Lynch has been fortunate enough to document a world that
is vanishing too quickly. Come and enjoy this special visual tour of Ireland. Stop by the historic hostel building, have some refreshments, enjoy the photo exhibit in the hostel's grand common room, and learn a little about the Baltimore Hostel and budget travel. Denny's photos will be for sale too.
Where?
The Baltimore Hostel is located at 17 W. Mulberry Street between Charles
and Cathedral streets, by the Basilica of the Assumption and the
Central Pratt Library in Mount
Vernon.
